About Me
I am a researcher, storyteller, and proponent of significant change at the intersections of environmental resilience, international relations, and creative communication. My journey has been driven by a passion for understanding the “why” and “how” of the world’s most pressing issues, as well as a determination to convert insights into actionable steps.
I am pursuing a Master of Social Sciences in International Relations at Jahangirnagar University. My thesis examines the geopolitical implications of artificial intelligence as a factor in forming global power dynamics. I have a Bachelor of Social Sciences in International Relations and have led academic and community projects that integrated practical solutions with rigorous research.
As the Assistant Coordinator (Digital and Multi-Media) at the Bangladesh Centre for Indo-Pacific Affairs (BCIPA), which combines academic discourse with digital innovation, I have acquired a diverse skill set. I have organized high-profile events, co-authored policy briefs, and managed multi-media campaigns at BCIPA to bridge the gap between research and actionable insights. My responsibilities include collaborating closely with scholars, diplomats, and policymakers to contribute to the discussions that shape the regional and global agenda.
Additionally, I am a co-founder and leader of platforms that integrate scholarship and creativity. The International Relations Film Circle, a groundbreaking initiative in Bangladesh, establishes a connection between cinema and academic theory. I work with students and educators to introduce novel viewpoints into the classroom by examining films through the lens of international relations. In the same vein, my platform, Think Like a Theorist, clarifies intricate theories, enabling students and researchers to establish a connection between academic thought and real-world problems.
I have leveraged the power of visual storytelling to advocate for social and environmental change as the Managing Director and Core Photographer of Chitroshala. I have consistently endeavored to amplify the voices of those who are frequently overlooked, whether through exhibitions that emphasize the resilience of vulnerable communities or photo documentaries that capture the effects of urban degradation. Cinemancha-সিনেমঞ্চ, a film production company that I co-founded, is a testament to this passion for storytelling. I have addressed societal issues such as child abuse, mental health during crises, and environmental injustices through short films and documentaries.
In addition to these positions, I have served as the leader of government-funded initiatives, including the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust (BCCT) climate change awareness project. I created educational materials, videos, and workshops to assist secondary students in coastal regions in comprehending and overcoming the obstacles presented by climate change.
Since my early years as a student, I have been actively involved in leadership roles, serving as a Class Representative, Secretary of the International Relations Club, and Development Executive for youth-led peace initiatives. These experiences have given me a more profound comprehension of the significance of collective effort in driving change and collaboration.
I am dedicated to establishing connections among individuals, disciplines, and ideas, which is the foundation of my work. I am a firm believer in the ability of stories to motivate, the potential of research to educate, and the importance of collaboration in making progress.
